Park Kyung-Soon

Abstract
This article deals with social political implications resulted from changes of life course pattern, which is conceptualized with destandardization of life course. This means that the temporal order and standard in life course is flexibilized, whereby the tripartition structure of the institutionalized life course is retained. Destandardization of life course is first of all caused by structural changes of labour market. This changes are resumed in eroding of normal labour relationship, on which the current social policies based. Destandardization of life course caused new social risks, which cannot or restricted can be protected by the current social security system. This is because the current social protection system assumes normality of labour relationship and family, while new social risks are related with eroding of this preconditions. Under the consideration of destandardization of life course combined with new social risks, a futures social policy should be a integrated solution with adequate time and income options that support continuity in working life and avoid involuntary discontinuities, that enable desired flexibility and discontinuity, that support transitions, and that reallocate financial resources more universalistic.
